Do you run a project in Staffordshire which contributes to positive social change or well-being and could benefit from a spot of photography?

Last year Pieces of Sky launched an offer for one intergenerational project to be documented at no cost to them. The successful project was Ledbury Library Intergenerational Project. It turned out to be a great project, involving people of all ages, local businesses, partner organisations including Herefordshire Vinvolved and Age Concern, and even the famed Morgan Car Factory. It was one of those projects that really celebrated what is good in the world and brought strangers together.

It was so successful that we’re now launching a similar offer, this time open to any not-for-profit group who is working to make a lasting and positive change in Staffordshire. If you would like the chance to give your project a ‘visual voice’ get in touch with us and we’ll send you an Expression of Interest Form. Either use the Contact Us page here on the website, email us at: info@piecesofsky.com or telephone us on 01785 663331.

Your project may be big or small, working in a defined area or with a dispersed community of interest, active in a rural or urban area, have paid staff or just be a couple of people plugging away quietly to make a positive impact for others, Pieces of Sky may be able to add a visual dimension to your project.

The broad criteria and exclusions are:
  • The project must contribute to positive social change or well-being.
  • The project must be based in, or predominantly delivered in Staffordshire.
  • The project should have a lasting and identifiable impact for those involved.
  • The project must be delivered by a not-for-profit organisation (You do not however need to be a Constituted group or charity).
  • The core focus of the project must not be a faith project or delivered by a political group.
  • The closing date for Expressions of Interest is – Noon, Monday 17th May 2010
