Finding Manachester

In terms of time, not the longest project we've put together but by far the most demanding and logistically challenging, we spent four months alone, canoeing along the remote Rio Manuripi in the Bolivian Amazon in search of Manchester. The only information we had was provided by a two page reference in a small book and a post-war Russian air map.

With 370 kilos of equipment, swamp crossings, tropicla storms, pyranha and cayman, it proved to be quite an adventure. To read more about the trip, get a cup of tea, make yourself comfortable and visit the News and Story Board pages.
